Default element in contributor masks

Hi,

I have (finally) been playing around with contributor a bit and I have the following question.

I have created an application containing a few masks all of which use the 'Site' dimension. The approval hierarchy is called 'Site_Contrib' which is in effect a trimmed down version of this site dimension. (Got rid of some parallel hierarchies and removed consolidated levels wo children)

I then linked the security on the site dimension with the security (managed by contributor) on site_contrib.

So far this seems to be working well except for one annoying issue.

Some users are members of multiple groups. As such they will have access to multiple elements in the site dimension.
Imagine a user member of the SITE1 group and SITE2 group. These groups defined as contributors for SITE1 and SITE2 respectively.

The issue I have is that when opening the 'SITE2' contribution mask with this user, it opens on SITE1 instead of SITE2. I can change it to Site2 manually but it is still pretty annoying and misleading for the contributors.

I have no idea whether this is a 'feature' I will have to live with or whether this is something I can somehow control .

Any suggestions?

Hi I have added a word document  - had to cut it in two though - giving a better description of how we set up the application.
