Is there any possibility that at some point you will stop referring to a version of Windows That. Does. Not. Exist?
As I told you this above, and Vincent Hu told you over on MS TechNet, there is:
- Windows Server 2008 R2; and there is
- Windows Server 8, which is only a codename, is still in Beta, and does not have an R2 at this point.
If you are referring to Windows Server [size=200%]2008 R2, please refer to it as such.
If you are doing some experiment with the Beta version of Windows [size=200%]Server 8, which does not now and may never have an R2, and noting well that "2008" and "8" are not the same number and that one is supported and one is not, then please indicate that.
Because until you start referring to the actual, existing version that you are using, any answer that you get is going to be nothing more than a guess.
If you're asking people to spend the time to answer your questions, then please at least extend them the courtesy of taking the time to express the question both clearly and accurately. |
