Hi,

OCD Alert.

Random question, but one that bugs me - What is the default font for the TM1 rules editor? When I paste rules in with a different font, I can never get the same font to match it.

Cheers.

This is what rules guide says
"Using the Preferences Dialog to Adjust Font Schemes:
The Rules Editor provides a default font scheme to help you visually identify the
different categories of rules syntax when working in the Edit pane.
You can change the default font scheme using the Preferences dialog to select your
own font style, size, color, and background. Examples of the different syntax
categories include comments, errors, functions, and selected text.
Any changes you make are saved when you exit the Rules Editor so they can be
re-applied the next time you edit a rule.
Note: The font style and font size apply to all text in the Edit pane and cannot be
set for individual categories of rules syntax"

If you open the Advanced Rules Editor and select Tools > Preferences then you will see that the font is Courier New, Size 10

In the legacy rule editor this font is 'MS Shell Dlg 2' size 8.5, regular. I don't think you can pick this logical typeface from the 'Font...' format window, but you can use its equivalent: Tahoma size 8, regular (at least this is the equivalent in all modern Windows versions - it can change in future if Microsoft decide so).

@Simon - assuming you mean the standard rule editor in Architect I can detect no difference between the default and Tahoma Regular 8.

[edit] QML beats me at OCDness as well. Oh well.

As a precaution when I am pasting text from software that thinks it's clever (e.g. Word) I always paste it into Notepad first and then copy from there.

I thought I was the only person that did that!    I almost always use Notepad as a paste intermediary when copying between apps. It saves a lot of headaches.

I did the Notepad step enough that I went looking, and found, https://code.google.com/p/puretext-plus/, so that you can "paste unformatted" with a hotkey (e.g. Win+v.)
